Art Nouveau

 Art Nouveau

Art Nouveau started in 1890 and ended in the year 1910

Art nouveau refers to new art during this period. Europe was experiencing peace and prosperity, and William Morris influenced this period. The academic model was rejected during this era, and nature was used instead. Most of the arts during that period focused on flowers, birds, vines, and insects.

Many of the artists of the time shared admiration for the Japanese arts, which were inspired by many artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, who painted the famous painting Starry Night. I like all of Van Gogh's paintings, but Starry Night is my favorite.

The Art Noveau movement started in Britain, and the name came from a shop in Paris called Art Noveau.

The art of Noveau in Belgium.

There is a Belgian architect named Victor Horta who had a significant influence during this period with his work mainly revolving around using iron railings and hardware, and he introduced the curtain wall, a structure of metal and wall. Victor Horta also built the Horta house with an asymmetrical facade and a twisted iron balcony.

Aubrey Beardsley

Aubrey Beardsley, born in 1872 and died in 1898, was an illustrative artist who was a significant influence in the Noveau art movement and was influenced by Japanese artworks. While doing his work, they were mainly black and white.
