Arts and Crafts

 Arts and Crafts

Arts and crafts started during the Victorian period, from 1837 to 1901. Many advancements occurred during this period, such as in communication, manufacturing processes, and media. This happened during Queen Victoria's reign, which was also the start of consumer culture.

The arts and crafts received a positive reaction from the masses of any social class. One reason for the positive response is that communication and media made them well-known to everyone who lived during that period.

This is an image of the way of communication during the Victorian period.

The negative side of arts and crafts is that they can clutter rooms and interior spaces with all the things that people built and poorly made furniture that can be a safety hazard.
